Chain oils

FRAGOL chain oils are used to lubricate chain links, wire ropes and conveyor systems and are characterised by high wetting properties, excellent adhesion/load carrying capacity and high temperature resistance.

Thanks to special additives, FRAGOL chain oils enable the lubricant to creep and thus ensure a high level of corrosion protection for wire ropes and multi-layered conveying media.

Selection criteria for chain oils are:

  • Corrosion protection and no formation of deposits
  • Maintenance of the lubricating film under various temperature and humidity conditions
  • High creeping ability
  • Excellent wetting and load-carrying properties
  • Special requirements such as H1 registration (chain oils for food industry)

 

FRAGOL chain oils meet the requirements of high temperature applications and the most severe operating conditions.

Once the system parameters have been determined, the lubrication engineer (or tribologist) can use different lubricant compositions to select a lubricant that will optimise the performance of the application. Since each chemical composition has its own advantages and disadvantages, selecting the correct composition is critical to meeting the tribological system parameters.
