Gear oils from FRAGOL, classified according to DIN 51517-3:2018-09 CLP, are used to lubricate mechanical system parts, transfer energy to gear wheels, discs and chain links and are characterised by high temperature absorption and a high load-carrying capacity.
In addition to a high content of EP (extreme pressure) and AW (anti-wear) additives, gear oils from FRAGOL offer extremely resistant corrosion protection for the gearbox and the system components used in it.
Selection criteria for gear oils are:
- Gearbox type: spur gear, bevel gear, helical bevel gear, spiral bevel gear, bevel screw, worm, gears, discs and many more
- Operating conditions: open or closed housing, load, vibrations, speed, temperatures
- Resistant to moisture, dust or other elements
- Maintenance conditions: long intervals between oil changes to reduce costs
- Material compatibility and/or seal compatibility
- Special requirements such as H1 registration (gear oils for food industry)
Gearboxes place different demands on lubricants depending on temperature, load and speed. Selecting the right viscosity makes it possible to find a balance between the three requirements. FRAGOL offers an ISO VG range from 150 to 1,000.
